taBAJSKO Pohorc chili sauce
Fermentation is a very old food preparation process, during which lactic acid bacteria help food get tastier, more nutritious and longer preserved. Two of the traditional Slovenian dishes prepared with the help of fermentation are pickled turnips and sauerkraut. Using a similar fermentation process, we’ve created our taBAJSKO chili sauce.
This is a medium hot chili sauce that features moruga red, bhut jolokia and habanero chili peppers. The sauce had been matured in oak barrels long enough for it to develop a lovely “funky taste” that just keeps going, long after it first touches our mouths.
We add other ingredients, all planted and grown on our eco farm, to obtain an even better taste and a good texture.
And so, one of the best chili sauces is born.
taBAJSKO Pohorc chili sauce is best used as a cooking ingredient or as seasoning on some dishes, such as roast beef, hamburgers, pizza, pasta, risotto, soups…
Store in a cool, dark place. Shake well before use. After opening, keep refrigerated for up to 3 months.
